This rule pack implements your complete SEACOW(r) framework with 6 carefully configured rules:

  1. CAPTURE: Clip folder sync (Priority 1)

    • Syncs -clip/ tags → Capture/Clips/ folders
    • Max 2-level nesting (per SEACOW rules)
    • Tag-to-folder direction
    • Keeps emojis and number prefixes
  2. CAPTURE: Inbox flat tag (Priority 2)

    • Syncs -inboxCapture/Inbox/
    • Flat structure (no nesting)
    • Quick capture workflow
  3. ENTITY: Cybersader work structure (Priority 3)

    • Syncs --cybersader/Entity/Cybersader/
    • Bidirectional sync
    • Work activities (projects, tasks, etc.)
    • Handles folder notes
  4. OUTPUT: Public Taxonomy structure (Priority 4)

    • Syncs _publicTaxonomy/Output/Public/
    • Deep nesting allowed (OUTPUT can have complex hierarchies)
    • Bidirectional sync
    • Broader tag specificity (favors general over specific)
  5. OUTPUT: Main public facing (Priority 5)

    • Syncs _/Output/Main/
    • Your main public-facing taxonomy
    • Strips number prefixes (cleaner for output)
  6. SYSTEM: Templates and config (Priority 6)

    • Syncs /templates, /obsidianSystem/
    • Bidirectional
    • Skips conflicts (don’t move system files accidentally)

A: Yes, you’re absolutely right!

Here’s the breakdown:

  • removeOrphanedTags - Remove tags that no longer match folder path
  • addTags - Whether to add tags at all
  • createFolders - N/A (folders are the source, they already exist)
  • createFolders - Whether to create missing folders
  • removeSourceTag - Remove the tag after moving file
  • keepDestinationTag - Keep tag even after moving
  • handleFolderNote - Handle folder note systems
  • removeOrphanedTags - N/A (tags are the source)
  • Show all options, but organize them clearly
  • Maybe use tabs: “Folder → Tag Options” | “Tag → Folder Options”
  • Or sections with clear headers

A: Yes! Fully designed and documented.

The system includes:

  1. UI Modal: Browse available packs
  2. Preview: See what rules you’re importing
  3. Confirmation Dialog: “This will add 6 rules. Continue?”
  4. Pack Metadata: Name, description, author, version
  5. Community Packs: Framework for sharing

Implementation Status: Designed, ready to implement

Your pack is ready: seacow-cyberbase.json is the first default pack!

How to use it (once import feature is implemented):

  1. Open plugin settings
  2. Click “Import Rules”
  3. Paste contents of seacow-cyberbase.json
  4. Review the 6 rules
  5. Click “Import”

For now (manual setup):

  • You can copy each rule manually from the JSON
  • Or wait until we implement the import UI
  • The JSON format matches our settings structure exactly

    • A) Test current UI first, then add conditional fields
