Customization

The plugin offers extensive customization for buttons, timers, display preferences, and milestone tracking. All settings are in Settings > Postpartum Tracker.

Each quick-action button can be individually configured with a visibility toggle, custom label, and custom icon.

Open Settings > Postpartum Tracker > Feeding to configure:

ButtonDefault labelDefault iconConfigurable

Right breastBreast RRVisible, label, icon

Additional feeding toggles:

  • Hold for details — when enabled, long-pressing a feeding button opens a form for notes and other fields before starting the timer.
  • Show position field — adds a breastfeeding position selector (cradle, cross-cradle, football, side-lying, laid-back) to the details form.

Open Settings > Postpartum Tracker > Diapers to configure:

Toggle: Hold for details — long-press opens a form for stool color, description, and notes.

Open Settings > Postpartum Tracker > Medication:

Toggle: Hold for details — long-press opens a form with notes field before logging the dose.

Hold-for-details is a long-press gesture (~500ms) that opens a form with optional fields before logging an entry.

How it works:

  • Quick tap — logs the entry immediately with default values. Fastest workflow.
  • Long press (~500ms hold) — opens a form for notes, position, color, or other optional fields.

Buttons that support long-press show a subtle visual indicator.

Available on:

  • Feeding buttons (notes, position)
  • Diaper buttons (stool color, description, notes)
  • Medication buttons (notes)
  • Simple tracker buttons with optional fields (notes, select fields)
  • Timer stop buttons (edit duration, side, notes on feeding stop)

When a feeding timer is running, the active button animates to draw attention.

Open Settings > Postpartum Tracker > Display > Timer button animation:

Every collapsible section in the widget can be moved up or down:

  • Arrow buttons — tap the ▲/▼ arrows in each section header.
  • Drag handle — on desktop, drag the ⠇ handle to reorder.

Section order is saved per code block in the layout array. Different notes can have different layouts.

All entry lists display newest entries first with day-separator headers:

  • Today — entries from today
  • Yesterday — entries from yesterday
  • Mon, Mar 3 — older entries show weekday, month, and day

This makes it easy to see the most recent entries at a glance without scrolling.

Logic packs are rule sets that define “what’s normal” for your baby’s age. They evaluate your tracker data against medical guidelines and surface progress in the daily summary and health alerts.

  1. Open Settings > Postpartum Tracker > Logic packs.

  2. Toggle on the packs relevant to your situation.

  3. Milestones appear in the daily summary (as a progress card) and as health alerts when expectations are not met.

Based on AAP and lactation consultant guidelines. Evaluates day-by-day expectations for the first 7 days:

  • Green (on track): The milestone’s expectation is met. A positive message displays in alerts.
  • Yellow (warning): The expectation is not met. An alert appears with guidance.
  • Red (urgent): A critical expectation is missed. An urgent alert fires through all notification channels.

The daily summary shows a milestone progress card (e.g., “3/5 milestones met”) when logic packs are active.
