Volatility property and entity registry
Content volatility property
Section titled “Content volatility property”New frontmatter property across the KB: volatility: stable | evolving | volatile
| Value | Meaning | Examples |
|---|---|---|
stable | Rarely changes; rooted in first principles or institutional identity | Ontology evolution concepts, entity descriptions (NIST, MITRE) |
evolving | Updates periodically as the ecosystem shifts | Framework data sources, EvolutionPattern profiles, Obsidian ecosystem |
volatile | Changes frequently; needs regular review | Specific framework version details, tool comparisons, roadmap status |
This enables:
- Bases views filtering by volatility (what needs review?)
- Prioritization of update effort
- Future automation: flag volatile pages that haven’t been reviewed in X months
Entity registry
Section titled “Entity registry”New section: reference/registry/ — 12 pages for institutional actors in the ontology ecosystem.
Tier 1 (core to Crosswalker): NIST, MITRE, CIS, SCF, OLIR, CTID
Tier 2 (referenced): CRI, OWASP, FFIEC, SEC, ISO, OSCAL
Future: marketplace
Section titled “Future: marketplace”These entity pages are the foundation for the community config registry. Each entity page will eventually link to:
- Available FrameworkConfig presets for their frameworks
- Evolution profiles for their versioning patterns
- Community-contributed crosswalk configs
